Liss Parish Council have been given the green light to add some energy-saving features to a community venue.

East Hampshire District Council has given LPC £17,620 to install solar panels and battery storage at Liss Pavilion.

The grant from the Community Climate Action Fund was the second biggest handed out by EHDC in late 2025.

“Liss Pavilion is more than just a building as it’s a hub for village life,” said a spokesperson for LPC, with Green Globe Solar due to start installation on February 23.

“The installation will enable the pavilion to generate much of its own power and reduce its CO2 emissions.”
