SPORTS were not so silly when playing games helped Greatham Primary School raise funds at its summer fair on Saturday.

The fair was organised by the Friends of Greatham School (FROGS) and committee member Katie Anderton said: “The fair went very well and it was a scorching day.

“We had a gazebo to shelter people as much as we could from the heat.

“The children had a fantastic time, and we had a bouncy castle, assault course, inflatable jousting and inflatable sumo wrestling suits for the kids.

“We also had a cafe, a barbecue, a variety of stallholders and a hamper raffle. A good day was had by all.

“The summer fair is one of our biggest fundraisers, and we are raising money to bolster the school’s funds for any items they may need.

“The other big fundraiser is our Christmas fair, which is usually held in the middle of November.”
