GILLIE G’s ladies boutique in Petersfield Square opened to warm weather and a warm reception.
The former Rhona Russell boutique on the Sheep Street corner of The Square is named after its new owner, Gillian Webb.
It was opened by Petersfield Mayor Jamie Matthews on Saturday, March 3 – the day the thaw began after the blizzards and freezing winds of the previous week.
Gillie was an enthusiastic customer in the shop before the then owner Mrs Russell decided to retire.
Gillie, who previously worked in retail and sales, said: “It is such a fantastic shop, and I plan to continue selling the same popular high quality labels as before, but slowly adding new designers.“
