STRIPPING off for charity is a brave thing to do but a group of women has done just that – and helped to raise £2,000.
Preparations are being made for the launch of the Dare2Bare 2018 calendar.
Sarah Lee, from Rogate, is one of the women who has taken part in the past.
It all started in 2014 when Sarah spotted a post on Facebook looking for ladies to pose naked for a calendar to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Sarah, now 45, decided to take the plunge as she had lost three uncles to cancer.
So one day a group of six ladies who didn’t know each other, arrived ready for a naked calendar shoot.
Sarah Lee said: “I was very nervous. But we went to the first shoot and it went from there. As soon as you have done it, it’s exhilarating.
“You feel like you are 10 feet high and that nothing can bring you down. Now, we have about 70 ladies who have taken part.”
The women taking part range in age from 18 up to 60. So far, from the two calendars which have been printed, £2,000 has been raised. They cost £8 each.
A launch of the 2018 calendar will take place at Petersfield Social Club off Station Road next month. To find out more visit Dare2Bare on Facebook.
