A SPORTING youngster from Petersfield will be representing the South East in the finals of a national diving competition.

Bryn James of Stoneham Park is in Year Six at Langrish Primary School, and came first in the English Schools South East Regional Diving Finals.

He will now represent south east region schools at the National Schools Final at the Aquatic Centre, Southampton in December.

The talented young diver trains regularly every week, accompanied by his mother Anne, or father Rees.

When he’s not diving, Bryn is an accomplished rugby player, playing for both Petersfield Rugby Club, and his school tag rugby team.

Langrish school head teacher Sarah Wright said she, and the school, is very proud of Bryn’s success.
