THIS Sunday (August 22) is the last service for the vicar of East Meon, Langrish, West Meon and Warnford, the Reverend Jane Ball.

The service at All Saints church in East Meon starts at 10.30am and residents in the benefice that covers the four villages are invited.

Reverend Ball said: “This will be my final service in the parish, followed by refreshments, and we look forward to welcoming you.”

The parish now enters a period of interregnum, a wait until a new vicar is appointed, and a stand-in vicar, Philippa Good, will look after the churches until June 22 next year.
