A CHARITY cream tea and guided tour around the Lavender Fields near Selborne in aid of struggling farmers was held in glorious sunshine.
The day was sponsored by Petersfield solicitors MacDonald Oates and was aimed at raising money for the farmers' welfare charity, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
Hosted by Tim and Anne Butler of Hartley Park Farm, the well-attended tea in a marquee and walk and talk around the flowering lavender fields raised £1,300 for the charity.
The day followed an earlier event at the farm at which East Hampshire District Council members met local farmers to discuss issues facing the agricultural community....
