MAKING a bucket list dream come true and helping children suffering from malnutrition is the aim of Petersfield’s Leah Rushworth.

The intrepid 21-year-old will be joining the Machu Picchu Trek across Peru this summer in aid of Action Against Hunger, a charity operating in 49 countries.

The Birmingham University student needs to raise £3,000 for the trip – half of which will go to the charity. Any money raised over the target will also go to Action Against Hunger.

Leah is keen to enlist the financial support of businesses, charities and other organisations in Petersfield, and has been out and out over the Christmas break drumming up support.

“I am very excited about it,” she said. “The trek route starts in Cusco and winds its way through mountain passes and jungle trails to reach Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Inca. I will be trekking six days in total to heights of 4,600m. I have been wanting to tick this off my bucket list for a while.”

She is passionate about the work of the charity which provides food, safe water, better sanitation, emergency and long term aid to children in need.

“Please donate what you can to support me and help make a difference to many children and families lives all around the world including countries like Yemen and Kenya.
