HE’S HAD a busy few months but now singer songwriter Jesse Ray has played on stage at Southsea’s Victorious Festival.
The 29-year-old from Liphook has been a musician since the age of just 13.
He started off in a local band which played gigs together in and around the area.
But when they split up and went their separate ways, Jesse decided to go solo.
Now, he is part of the Jesse Ray Band alongside two other musicians.
Jesse takes centre stage as lead singer, guitarist and songwriter.
The band performed a half an hour set on Sunday on the Showcase festival stage.
On the same day, he also took to the stage at The Alex Festival in Farnborough.
In the last year, his career has really begun to take off.
He’s had his tracks played on BBC Radio 2 and has worked alongside music legend Jools Holland who played piano with him on the track Right on the Money, live on the radio.
Meanwhile, last year, his track Beast on the Prowl was played on ITV’s This Morning.
His music is the rockabilly style but he is influenced by the classic rock music from decades gone by.
