LISS Archaeology members have completed their autumn excavation at Colemore.
Members dug trenches, processed finds and undertook geophysics at the site.
Colemore site director Juliet Smith said: “We had five trenches going during the excavation.
“Among the items we found was a candlestick, which is from either the second or third century.
“We found evidence of a fourth Romano-British building at the site in the spring, so we followed up on that.
“We will be returning again to the Colemore site next spring, from the middle of April to the middle of May.”
New members are welcome at Liss Archaeology.
