A NEW group for fathers and young children up to school year reception age has held its first meeting.

The meeting at St Mary’s Church was held by ‘Who Let The Dads Out?’
The Rev Richard Hutchins, who is the assistant curate at St Mary’s Church, said: “I am absolutely delighted with how the first session went – we had 12 dads and 15 children.
“There was a really lovely atmosphere and the dads played with their children. It is a great start. We received a grant from the Diocese of Portsmouth to help set it all up, and I would like to give a big thank you to all the people who helped. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
The group meets at St Mary’s on the third Saturday of each month from 9-11am.
