ELECTIONS for a police and crime commissioner, and county, district, town and parish councillors, went ahead across East Hampshire as expected yesterday (Thursday, May 5).
Polling stations opened from 7am to 10pm.
The votes were counted today (Friday, May 6) in Petersfield Festival Hall, under the watchful eye of candidates and East Hampshire District Council electoral services team. Results will be announced later today.
Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner candidates: Simon Hayes (Independent), Roy Swales (UKIP), Michael Lane (Conservative), Robin Price (Labour), Don Jerrard (Independent), and Richard Adair (Liberal Democrats).
Hampshire County Council candidates for Headley: Peter Ballie (UKIP), Trevor Maroney (Lib Dem), Floss Mitchell (Con).
Petersfield Town Council candidates: David Holdaway, (Con) William Organ (Labour), Rupert Sayer (no party), and Julie Yardley (Green Party).
East Hampshire District Council Clanfield candidates: Dave Alexander (UKIP), Elaine Woodard (Lib Dem), Nigel Wren (Con)
