THE CORONER for East Hampshire, David Horsley, has released the name of the 30-year-old Hungarian man who died at Petersfield rail station on Saturday, December 17.
Krisztian Kriston died at about 5.30pm after being hit by a train travelling south from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour.
Witnesses claim he stepped in front of the train, and the line remained closed until about 6.45pm. It’s thought Mr Kriston worked at Bedales School in Steep.
But the Coroner says the death of a woman earlier on December 17 in a flat in Hylton Road is still being investigated by the coroners office. A spokesman said: “As the death of the woman who died in Hylton Road is still under investigation, no details can be given.”
