A PETERSFIELD chef who wowed a national audience is returning to his hometown to give local foodies a taste of what they’re missing.

Diners are set for a treat as Masterchef: the Professionals contestant, Tom Peters, will take over the kitchen at Annie Jones for one night only on Sunday, August 12.

The dishes in his five-course fine dining experience will be inspired by his experiences on the BBC2 show and the restaurants the London Sous Chef has worked in.

“It’s a chance for local people to come along and try my food,” said the 25-year-old from Herne Farm, who started his amazing career in the restaurant of the same Lavant Street restaurant.

The menu certainly looks mouthwatering with smoked duck breast, haddock raviolo and scallops all featuring.

The penultimate course of lamb, courgette and black garlic has been inspired by his time at Michel Roux Junior’s Michelin-Star restaurant, Roux in Parliament Square, while the dessert is straight out of the famed Masterchef invention test.

Guests should arrive at 5.30pm for canapes and bubbles while tickets (limited availability) are £74 to include a £4 Paypal booking fee.
