A NEW Mens Shed group is being set up at the Love Lane stadium – the home of Petersfield Town Football Club.
The idea of the scheme is to provide a ‘shed’ space in the stadium where men aged over 55 can come together and use it as their base to carry out work on special projects from there.
The work could be painting around the stadium or repairing current facilities or helping to build new facilities around the ground.
The group could also come to the aid of other organisations in the town in the form of community projects they can help with.
An area of the stadium will be dedicated to the new group, so its members can meet and have somewhere where they can work too.
The Mens Shed idea is popular across the country and the world and is helping men to remain active once they reach retirement age.
