EAST Hampshire MP Damian Hinds has hit out at the gunmen who brought terror and bloodshed to the streets of Paris and said they were attacking our way of life.
He also warned that everyone has a part to play now to ensure further attacks are prevented.
Mr Hinds, who lives near Petersfield, said: “The recent events in Paris were truly shocking for all of us who value the freedoms being enjoyed by the hundreds of people so callously murdered or injured in the attacks.
“The gunmen represent an ideology that has no respect for liberty, peace or democracy and the attacks must be seen as an assault on our common values and way of life.
“We must continue to work with our allies and friends across the world to defend ourselves against this threat and be grateful to the police and intelligence services who work round the clock to try and keep us safe.
“The threat levels here in the UK remain at ‘severe’, so everyone has a part to play in being vigilant and reporting anything they consider suspicious. All our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims and all affected by this act of wickedness.”
