THE LAUNCH in Petersfield of a networking group for mums was attended by the town’s mayor and nearly 40 working mums, much to the organisers delight.
Busy working mum Jacintha Dicken founded the Petersfield Mumprenuers group after finding the demands of children and family didn’t leave her enough time to meet other business people.
Jacintha, a therapist and intuitive health coach, said: “The launch was a huge success and Petersfield mayor James Deane was so taken and impressed that he stayed to listen to each of the Mumprenuers, a testament to the wealth and variety of businesses they own and run.”
During the meeting in Petersfield Golf Club, the Mumprenuers were encouraged to ask for help in one particular area and many new connections were made on the day, Jacintha added.
Jacintha said: “The members, who do not need to be mums exclusively and who are not prejudiced against the odd man who feels like joining them, introduce themselves by name and occupation and then the networking begins.”
The meetings at Petersfield Gold Club are on the first Wednesday of the month, and the next is at 10am, after the school run, on Wednesday, March 1.
