THE MUSIC department at The Petersfield School is hosting a special open mic night in memory of a former student, Chloe Haskins, who sadly passed away in February this year.

Music department head Samantha Wood said the music department want to dedicate the evening to Chloe, bringing students, family and friends together to remember her through music.

She also said that Chloe was an exceptional student and a gifted musician who played keyboard, guitar and violin, sang and wrote her own songs.

Chloe, who lived in Borough Grove, was studying at the Acadamy of Contemporary Music in Guildford at the time of her tragic and sudden death.

All proceeds from the open mic night from 7pm on Thursday, May 17, will go to the family’s chosen charities: Meningitis Now and the Meningitis Research Foundation.

On the evening there will be an opportunity to make a donation on the night and there is also a Just Giving page:uk.virginmoneygiving.com/…/showROSomeoneSpecialPage
