FARMERS, landowners and people running rural businesses looking to protect and improve the environment are invited to a seminar near Winchester tomorrow (Tuesday).
Run by the Country Land and Business Association (CLA), the event at Avington Park will offer insights into the payments available to enable land managers to undertake environment projects.
The application processes for the latest Countryside Stewardship and Basic Payment Scheme will be outlined.
These have replaced the Entry Level Stewardship and Higher Level Stewardship schemes, and their pros and cons will be debated.
Representations from rural business consultancy CLM and the Rural Payments Agency will be speaking. The seminar runs from 8am to 10.30am and costs £15 for CLA members and £30 for non members.
To book visit www.cla.org.uk/your-area/southeast, or call 01264 313434.
