IN LAVISH period costume and in front of an evocative candlelit setting, a charismatic ensemble will perform favourite carols, Christmas string medleys and some seasonal surprises.
The Locrian Ensemble bring their festive show Carols by Candlelight to the Theatre Royal in Jewry Street, Winchester, on Wednesday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
The Locrian Ensemble are firmly established as one of Britain’s most popular touring groups.
They have a host of television and film credits to their name and have topped the classical charts with their playing for Debbie Wiseman’s BBC television score of Wolf Hall.
They are joined by the evergreen Jill Washington, West End star soprano of Phantom of the Opera, singing pieces including works from Handel’s Messiah, White Christmas, Twelve Days of Christmas and Walking in the Air.
