A FORMER pupil at The Petersfield School, and member of Petersfield Youth Theatre, is to star in a London theatre production.

Lily Smith grew up in Petersfield and she and James Downie from Fleet in Hampshire will be playing childhood sweethearts in Philip Ridley’s Moonfleece at The Pleasance Theatre in London

After leaving The Petersfield School, Lily went to South Downs College before training at Guildford School of Acting, where notable alumni include Bill Nighy and Michael Ball.

She said: “I am thrilled to be playing such an interesting role in a play as brilliant and relevant as Moonfleece.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing the story to life and shedding some light onto the world of young people’s politics.”
