CUSTOMERS and staff at the Petersfield Trustee Savings Bank (TSB) in the High Street have raised almost £600 for a charity that provides holidays for children with life-limiting illnesses.
Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal was founded ten years ago by Pam Marshall in memory of her ten-year-old daughter, Hannah, who died of cancer.
The charity runs three holiday homes, one in Hayling Island and two in the New Forest, where families with poorly children can go for a welcome break free of charge.
Petersfield TSB employee Anne Squires said: “Every year we choose a local charity to support and raise money for and this year it was Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal and the money was raised through raffles, a name the teddybear competition and cake sales among other ways. And we would like to thank all our customers who supported our fundraising so generously and those who donated raffle prizes and helped.”
Pam’s husband Colin was also at the cheque presentation in the Petersfield branch, and staff member Jacky Merret was also one of the TSB fundraising team. The charity provides holidays for around 130 families annually.
