AWARD-WINNING clarinettist Matthew Scott is the guest soloist for Southern Pro Musica’s next concert in Petersfield.

Autumn Classics is the title of the concert, to be performed at Petersfield Festival Hall this Friday, at 7.30pm.

Conducted by Jonathan Willcocks, the concert will include Haydn’s Symphony no. 84 (Surprise); Weber’s Clarinet Concerto no.2; Sibelius’ Romance and Valse Triste; and Schubert’s Symphony no.5.

Scott graduated from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) with BMus (Hons) first class in 2013, followed by an MA with distinction and DipRAM in 2015, generously supported by The Countess of Munster Musical Trust and The Greenbank Scholarship. He has won many awards and prizes.

He was also invited on to the 2015 London Sinfonietta Academy and Britten-Pears Young Artists Platform.

Tickets for Autumn Classics are £20, £15 and £5 for under-18s.
