PETERSFIELD farmers’ market resumes on Sunday, February 6, at it’s usual venue in Petersfield Square say organisers Hampshire Farmers’ Markets.

The market is held on the first Sunday of the month, and in February stalls will include Jake’s Artisan Foods of Sussex Road, Nursted, on the Harting road, selling their popular pork pies, among other goodies.

Also booked to be there are Mill Farm Organic from near Alton with their quality beef, lamb and pork; and selling jams, breads, pastries and baked goods, all made using eggs, cheese, fruits and vegetables sourced locally, will be Pure Delights of Alresford.

New Forest Smokery and Trout Farm from Fordingbridge will also be there selling a selection of trout products including cold smoked trout and trout pate from brown trout raised on their small farm using no chemicals or antibiotics with lots of space and fresh clean spring water.

A smokery spokesman said: “All our products are grown and produced in our farm and smokery with the emphasis on producing a small quantity of quality products.”

A market spokesman added: “Savour the delights of truly local food reared, grown, baked, caught and brewed in Hampshire.”
