PETERSFIELD Round Table bonfire and fireworks raised around £11,500 this year for local causes.

Held on Bell Hill recreation ground, the annual event on Saturday, November 4, now in its 26th year, attracted more than 3,000 people.

It is organised, staged and manned by Round Table volunteers, with help on the day from groups like Petersfield Scouts and Sheet Explorer Scouts.

All money raised goes back in to the community via local charities and organisations.

Round Table co-ordinator and Petersfield Mayor Jamie Matthews said: “It was a very successful evening, despite the rain earlier in the day the crowds came along and supported it, which was great.”

Community groups and organisations wishing to apply for a donation from the Round Table Firework team are asked to email Jamie on [email protected]
