READERS of a certain age will remember a spiky haired Chris Evans making this announcement in the 1990s: Don’t forget your toothbrush.

Now, 30 years on from the early days of Britpop, Petersfield Food Bank have also made the same request as they could do with a few more to hand out to users.

In addition to toothbrushes, supplies of long-life milk, cereal, squash, rice, sugar, tinned meat and toilet rolls could do with topping up as the charity continues its bid to help the town’s less fortunate.

People who would like to donate can find drop-off points in supermarkets around town.
