Cracking up: Frustrated Petersfield councillor blames government for pothole woesThey are keen to link up with residents, businesses, charities and event organisers to give the traditional fair – which has its origins in the Middle Ages – a boost.
After last year's fair on the Heath, Bernice Walls, of JWS Pleasure Fairs, which has been bringing the Taro to the town for generations, admitted that it was a struggle financially to keep it going.
But she hopes with input from the community it will become the much-anticipated and thriving occasion it was in its heyday when it was the town's 'jewel in the crown.'
