A Petersfield mother of two has been shortlisted in the 2016 Brilliance in Blogging Awards (BiBs) in the family category.

Louise George of Rival Moor Road is a former pupil of The Petersfield School and now lives in Slough.

Her blog, ‘Little Hearts, Big Love’ was launched in 2014 and shares her experience as a mother to a child with half a working heart and helping raise awareness of congenital heart defects, as well as sharing day-to-day insights on parenting, days out and crafts.

Louise said: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for these prestigious national awards and be recognised as an influential blogger. The online world is growing each day as more people create blogs and move onto social media and getting accolades is a wonderful indication that my voice is one that resonates with other parents out there.

“I’m excited about the future of blogging and the opportunities for mums like me to have their voices heard by thousands of readers, which I hope will help raise awareness of congenital heart defects and the impact that they have upon ordinary families like ours.”

More than 50,000 votes were cast across 12 categories for the awards which are organised by BritMums.

BritMums is the UK’s largest and most influential collective of lifestyle bloggers and social influencers.
