THOSE that hadn’t made up their minds about today's in or out EU Referendum, or had decided not to take part, should vote believes Petersfield pensioner Ron Burton.
It’s thought millions of people across the UK are still unsure which way to vote, or are considering not voting, a view Mr Burton of Moggs Mead held earlier this week. But despite his doubts this morning he voted.
He said whichever way it went, the result would affect the UK for years to come, and that everyone should be involved in making the decision.
He added: “I wasn’t going to vote, but this morning I decided it was too important not to.”
Despite the fact he hadn’t registered to vote, East Hampshire District Council officers at Ron’s polling station in The Avenue Pavilion, made it easy for him to tick his chosen box.
He said: “They just asked me my name and address, checked it against the electoral role, and then gave me my ballot paper, it was easy.”
