A WOMAN from Petersfield will be sharing the art of Pilates exercise with thousands of people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) at an event in London this weekend.
Beth Svarovska will be taking to the stage at MS Life, an event organised by the MS Society, at the ExCel Centre in the capital this Saturday and Sunday.
The event will not only feature talks from some of the world’s leading MS researchers, celebrities, chefs, and inter-active workshops, but Beth will demonstrate to the watching audience how Pilates can be beneficial to people living with the long term neurological condition.
She’ll be joined by people living with MS themselves – members of the society’s Chichester and Bognor Regis branch who take part in Beth’s weekly Pilates groups.
Beth, who also offers personal Pilates training and specialises in working with people with neurological conditions like MS, says her session at MS Life will be geared towards the needs of people with MS.
She said: “At the heart of Pilates is engaging the mind with the body – it’s about your whole body moving together naturally.
“I’m most looking forward to giving people a new experience through Pilates, which I know in others has proven to be the beginning of a new relationship with their body.”
