PETERSFIELD police are appealing for witnesses after a family in their home were surprised by a masked man who was one of a gang of thieves.
The incident in Love Lane on Monday, March 20, saw one gang member attract the attention of the family in their living room while the rest of the gang got into a car on the drive.
At about 7.45pm, a lone man wearing a black hoody and with a black and white bandana covering his lower face walked up the drive to the house and banged on the living room window.Meanwhile three other men conducted an untidy search of the unlocked vehicle on the driveway.
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Tobey Mason said: “Luckily on this occasion, nothing was taken from the vehicle.
“If anyone was in or around the area of Love Lane about the time of the incident and has any information they feel would be useful please contact police on 101 and quote the following reference number 44170104987.”
