MOTORIST are being asked to avoid Charles Street in Petersfield as it will be closed overnight (Friday, October 7) from the Lavant Street cross roads, past Tesco Express to Station Road, so that resurfacing work can be done, says Hampshire Highways.

There should still be pedestrian access to the shop, and traffic diversions are likely to be in place, a spokesman added.
