The Royal British Legion centenary Petersfield branch parade was held at 9am on Saturday at the town’s war memorial at the bottom of the High Street.
President of the Petersfield branch Jeff Williams laid a wreath to commemorate the national charity’s 100 years of providing financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.
During the simple, socially-distanced event, the branch standard was paraded by Daz Hare, and the Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph was read by Petersfield branch chairman Clive Lewis.
The short ceremony in the rain was also attended by Petersfield mayor and Royal Navy veteran Phil Shaw, former mayor Lesley Farrow and Petersfield town councillors James Deane and Chris Paige.

The Petersfield branch drives the annual poppy appeal in the town, raising thousands each year for RBL causes.
The town council organises the Remembrance Day parade in the Square and at the war memorial.
