AN EXHIBITION of portraits of Petersfield business people and market traders was a great success, with many of them selling on the night
The week long ‘Characters Captured’ exhibition by Petersfield artist and singer Livvy Clark-Stainer of Osborne Road was held in the Flora Twort gallery.
More than 50 people turned up for the private viewing of the water colour portraits, including most of those who sat for Livvy.
She said: “Thankfully they all loved their portraits and most sold that night. I had some lovely comments, one lady was so blown away by her son’s portrait she got quite emotional.
“I met a lot of interesting people at the gallery and I am pleased the exhibition brought people to the gallery, as well as generating exposure for all the independent businesses in my lovely town.
“I’ve got the bit between my teeth now and I am planning my next show.”
