A TALK entitled ‘The Workings of the RSPB’, by the site manager of Langstone and Chichester RSPB reserves Wez Smith, will be given to members of Petersfield U3A, at the community centre, Love Lane, Petersfield, on Monday (October 10) at 2.30pm.

He will describe how threatened birds and wildlife are protected so our towns and countryside teem with life.

This is one of the October talks for the U3A group. An Arts and Heritage Talk is being given by Bernard Allan on Wednesday, October 19, at 2.30pm, on ‘Women Artists and Impressionism’. He will explain the development of impressionism and how Morisot, Bracquemond and Cassatt were central to this art form.

And on Tuesday, October 25, at 2pm, in a Science and Technology talk, Professor Vincent Marks will speak on ‘What’s New in Diabetics’, outlining all the new treatments now available and being used.

These are also being held at the community centre in Love Lane.
