YEAR 10 students Joe Parry and Imogen Haydon from The Petersfield School, were held spellbound at a special lecture from scientist, BBC TV broadcaster, and Hampshire resident, Professor Jim Al-Khalili.

The lecture – covering time travel, alternative universes, and space exploration – was part of the school’s STEM programme, aimed at inspiring students to become innovators and leaders in technology and engineering.

Imogen (14) said: “It has really inspired me to pursue physics as a career.”
