The owners of a Rother Valley pub have raised a glass to planners after signing off plans for a key feature.
Plans to reinstate The White Hart sign on the pavement outside the South Harting pub have been approved by the South Downs National Park Authority.
The original double-side hanging pub sign was recently removed on safety grounds with a near like-for-like replacement in the same position on The Street being proposed.
“This proposal will help enhance the future viability and sustainability of the White Hart,” said the applicants in their application.
Harting Parish Council did not object to the application but requested details about the positioning of lighting due to the village’s position in a Dark Night Skies area.
