A campsite for walkers, cyclists and horse riders, with treehouse accommodation, is proposed for a Petersfield farm.
Planners at the South Downs National Park Authrority are being asked for their advice on the venture at Longview Folly Farm, formerly Whites Nursery, Oxenbourne Lane, before an application is submitted.
The site is said by Knight Architectural Design, which is dealing with the plans, to have had a “chequered planning past”, with many structures deteriorated.
Applicants Mr and Mrs Long are seeking a fresh use for the land, in the heart of the South Downs National Park.
They want to clear the site and install four to five modest treehouses and a small-scale campsite, with the conversion of existing buildings to provide cooking and washing facilities.
They hope planners will agree it fits with the ethos of supporting rural business and tourism endeavours and enhancing existing buildings.
