IN LIPHOOK, staff at The Links Tavern in Portsmouth Road, hosted a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support with lots of cakes and treats to enjoy.

Manager Jason Kemp said: “It’s close to all of us – my mum died of cancer.

“This is a really good cause and it brings people together.”

The pub didn’t charge for coffee during the day and just asked for a donation to Macmillan.

Meanwhile, the Millennium Centre in Ontario Way, held its annual Macmillan coffee morning.

As well as tea, coffee and cakes, people could buy flowers, knitted toys, jams and books and it was absolutely packed full.

Veronica Gandy said: “Nearly everybody has been touched by cancer and has been helped by Macmillan.
