POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident on the A3 near Petersfield.
At around 3pm last Sunday, a black Chevrolet Calos was found off the road on the southbound carriageway of the A3, just after the Petersfield industrial estate sliproad.
A 51-year-old man from Dorset inside the car was taken by ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. He has since been transferred to St Thomas’ Hospital in London where he is in a critical condition.
PC Robin Tompkins said: “We are keen to establish exactly how the vehicle came to be off the road. The man in the rear of the vehicle suffered a medical episode and is currently in hospital.
“If you saw any other vehicles, or pedestrians, in the area at this time, or saw what happened, can you please let us know.”
