POLICE say no headway has been made in the investigation into an attempt to blow open a cash point in Petersfield’s flagship mall – Rams Walk.

A police spokesman said: “Enquires are ongoing.”

Despite the explosion between 1.30am and 1.40am on Sunday, August 25, resulting in firefighters being called, it is also understood the incident was captured on CCTV, at first no information was released.

Three days later in response to a query by the Post, police said: “Suspects allegedly filled the Santander ATM with a flammable substance and ignited it in an attempt to gain access.
