POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a daylight house burglary in Petersfield.

The house in Copse Close off Pulens Lane was broken into between 8.30am and 11.45am on Wednesday, April 25.

Police Community Support Officer Rob Earl said: “Entry to the property was gained through a side door, and if anyone has any information about this incident please contact the police on 101 and quote incident 44180152369.

“I would also urge residents to lock and secure all doors when leaving their property, and remember to remove keys from the inside of the locks.

“Also remove keys from locked windows, and ensure all gates are closed and secured where practicable, and if you have an alarm system, remember to set it.

“And if you see anything suspicious in your area, please contact police on 101 for non emergency incidents, or 999 for an emergency, and if you wish to remain anonymous please ring Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
