LISS Parish Council (LPC) has adopted its action plan for the 2017-18 council year.
The plan was agreed at the parish council meeting last Monday, July 17.
It sets out the key actions and projects LPC will undertake before the end of the council year in May 2018.
Parish council chairman Roger Hargreaves said: “The plan has two purposes.
“Firstly, it gives the council a focus on what we’re doing this year. Secondly, it allows us to communicate to the public what we’re doing.”
The plan is split into two parts, with the first part focusing on the actions LPC will undertake and the second part listing the key projects for 2017-18.
Cllr Hargreaves said: “Obviously there are things we are already doing in the first part, while the second part focuses on what we can afford to do in the year.
“There are other projects we would like to do, but this is what we can afford to deliver this year, and it is important for us to remind people what we’re about and the way we do things.
“We’ll also review the plan six months into the council year, probably in November, to see how we’re doing.”
Among the key projects listed for 2017-18 is to progress the pavilion project, including finalising the design, obtaining planning permission and undergoing a tender process.
Another key project listed is to complete the Liss Neighbourhood Plan.
“Hopefully, we will get the neighbourhood plan signed off,” said Cllr Hargreaves.
“Our other big project is the pavilion. We haven’t said we will complete the pavilion this year, but we want to get as far as putting the project out to tender.”
Among the other key projects listed is to provide an accessible toilet in the village hall, and to complete the Liss Infrastructure Delivery Plan.
