PETERSFIELD Comedy Club returns to its usual format of MC and three acts this Monday (August 6).

Opening the show is Dan Evans whose accessible but childish surrealism has delighted audiences throughout the UK and Ireland. He’s also had his grammar corrected by Dutch and German crowds, performed for chubby sweating ex-pats in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Thailand, and is one of just two UK comics to play Hanoi, Vietnam.

Middle act is West Country comedian James Dowdswell whose star has been rising recently having appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC) and Ricky Gervais’ Extras (BBC) and host of World Cup Round Up (Sky Sports).

The closing act, Howard Read, has an impressive biography. His children’s shows have been huge hits for many years around the globe and led to writing jobs for television and radio while his adult show is devilishly funny, where he relaxes and lets loose with his wonderful humour.

All in all it’s a fantastic lineup with three established UK headliners, maintaining the reputation of the club.

Tickets for the show are £6 in advance from the Folly Bar (downstairs), and £7 on the door. Show starts at 8.30pm.
