A GROUP of Petersfield artists are hoping that visitors will go potty for their work when their Christmas Exhibition opens this weekend.

The exhibition in the Physic Garden Room will feature more than 100 unique items produced by the Petersfield Arts and Crafts Society (PACS) Potters.

The free exhibition will be open this Saturday (November 24) from 11am to 6pm and then from 10am to 4pm daily until Sunday, December 2.

“Every autumn we gather together to exhibit and sell some of our work, with the help of the Physic Garden’s excellent facilities,” said PACS member, Geraldine Maynard-Hoare.

“The variety of members’ skills is diverse, ranging from wheel thrown pieces to hand-build work and sculpture. The potters look forward to meeting everyone, and hope they appreciate the variety of work shown at our exhibition.”

Three PACS artists – Caroline Strong, Helen Thair and Katrin Eagle – are also taking part in a group exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester with paintings and wool-art originals being showcased along with woven scarves and printed wool-art gifts. With plenty of work on show, it’s a great opportunity to buy some unique Christmas presents.
