PUPILS from schools in and around Petersfield displayed their ‘vintage’ artwork in shops in the town centre.

The ArtShop 2018 project, saw work from Petersfield Infants School, Steep and Sheet primary schools, Dunhurst, Dunannie and Churcher’s College Junior School and Nursery, on display in shop windows along Lavant Street.

The creations covered all things ‘vintage,’ using ceramics, painting, lino-print, textiles and mixed-media.

Dunhurst’s head of art Susan McFarlane, who devised the exhibition, said: “Seeing their work exhibited gives pupils a sense of pride and achievement. Children’s art is joyous and uplifting and Lavant Street really came alive with creativity and imagination.

“It would be great to get more schools and establishments involved to make this an annual event.”
