Pupils at a Blackmoor school have been praised for their questions after the Bishop of Portsmouth paid an end-of-term visit.

The Rt Rev Dr Jonathan Frost led worship at St Matthew’s Primary School last Thursday, July 17.

The special guest was given a tour and chatted to children at playtime before taking part in a Q&A session with pupils.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The children asked fascinating questions like ‘how do you become a bishop?’ and ‘what does a bishop do?’

“The children were also pleased to learn they were regularly prayed for by the bishop and his team at Portsmouth Cathedral.

The school also welcomed Rev Amanda Sim, the new priest in charge at St Matthew’s Blackmoor.
