Reptile and dormouse survey of Petersfield hedge to cost thousands

PETERSFIELD town councillors have agreed to a £4,350 reptile and dormouse survey of a hedgerow in a Penns Place field earmarked for sporting use.

The finance and general purposes committee heard at their meeting on January 15, in the Town Hall, that it wasn’t known what wildlife lived in the hedge. The information which could be important when the field’s future is planned, councillors also heard.
