FIRED up by the success of the BBC’s The Great Pottery Throw Down, craft lovers have been pouring into a Petersfield ceramics exhibition.

The annual show by Petersfield Arts and Crafts Society (PACS) Potters at The Physic Garden features a range of 130 beautiful items from twenty or so potters, showing off varied techniques.

There are figurines, bowls, platters, animals, jugs and more – and a very special sink.

This was made by PACS member Sally-Jo Forrest of Petersfield, who is a contestant on the Throw Down programme, which is igniting interest in giving clay a go.

Her sink can be viewed along with decorative nesting bowls she made on the first episode two weeks ago.

Sally-Jo is hoping that Petersfield people will get behind her as the challenge continues, and that they will also catch the exhibition before it closes on Saturday, November 22.

It is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The ceramics are for sale.
