SUPPORTERS of a Rowlands Castle school are throwing a street party in the playground tomorrow (Saturday) to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The party – which will feature cakes, candy floss and ‘regal-themed refreshments’ – should add a touch of class to the St John’s Primary School Summer Fair.

The three-hour event will begin at noon and will feature the usual array of stalls, demonstrations and family-friendly activities.

The open top bus rides are bound to be popular while performances by the St John’s Dance Club and Petersfield School Band are likely to strike a chord with audiences.

Further highlights will include a treasure hunt, bouncy castle, face painting and martial arts demonstration among many others.
